The install program will not install to the Team Editon of Visual Studio.  It tells me "The AplNext Core requires Visual Studio 2005 Standard.  Am I the only one using Team Edition?

There is a problem with the installer that prevents APLNext from installing under the Team Edition of Visual Studio 2005.  You can either wait for the next beta version of the installer, which should have this fixed, or try the  workaround below that involes a temporary modification to your Windows Registry.  In the Registry branch below, change the "VSTD" key to "Std":

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\VisualStudio\8.0\Setup\VS\VSTD

    then run the APLNext installer.

A workaround is to temporarily replace the registry key "VSTD" in the branch below with "STD":

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\VisualStudio\8.0\Setup\VS\VSTD

prior to running the APLNext installer.

Note: The line above is present on machines with Visual Studio 2005 Team Edition installed.

Since APLNext Beta 9.5 the installer supports Visual Studio 2005:

    - Standard
    - Professional
    - Team Suite
    - Team Edition for Software Developers.
