    If you need a copy of Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 (standard), why pay for it if you can get a complimentary copy from Microsoft?

    Register for, view and evaluate two Microsoft webcasts and receive a 'complimentary' copy of Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 (standard).

    After viewing two of the Microsoft VB.Net webcasts (on demand versions), I completed the short evaluation form and provided my email address. About one week later I received a 'key' from Microsoft which I could use to obtain one complimentary copy of Visual Studio 2005 (standard). I did have to use my credit card to pay the c.a. $10US shipping charges for the DVD. Overall a painless procedure and a significant savings of over $100US.

    Shipping (surface speed) of the complementary copy of MS VS 2005 is expected in a week or two.

    In addition the Microsoft webcast on one-click install of legacy VB was very useful.
